What I’ve Learned and taught
MA FILM STUDIES, TEL AVIV UNIVERSITY
October 2008 - December 2012
In addition to my coursework, I also completed a written dissertation about the social, cultural and economic powers that were involved in the foundation of the Israeli film fund in 1978.
Working on it, required me to bring to the max my autodidact capabilities. First in mastering sociological theory required from an academic paper. And then by establishing a methodology in researching the historical documents used: national archive, news papers and conducting personal interviews. This is an uncommon process in film studies but I am happy I got the chance to experience in it.
BA PHILOSOPHY AND FILM STUDIES, TEL AVIV UNIVERSITY
October 2005 - December 2008
This double major track allowed me to combine the two in an interchangeable manner: Using philosophical writings in film studies, and analyzing films from a philosophical standpoint.
The methods of logical and critical thinking I acquired serve me to this day as a PM.
TEACHING POSITIONS, TEL AVIV UNIVERSITY
October 2005 - June 2008
During my MA studies, I thought several classes making me feel comfortable talking to a crowd. Among the classes was Narrative theory - something that is relevant for a PM, to better understand the user journey
In addition, I was responsible to convince the head of the department to upgrade a class from a 1-hour class to 2 hours. This required me and a colleague to restructure the syllabus.
